McLean Orchestras reaches pinnacle of success at Orlando
Fiesta-Val (awards).
Thu. October 28, 2004,
the McLean High School Orchestras presented their fall concert,
In Tune with the World, featuring Bach and Mozart
from Germany, jazz from the USA, and music from Russia and Czech
Republic.
Sat. October 16,
2004, to the
cheers of family and community supporters, the McLean High
School Orchestra proudly marched in this year's
Homecoming
Parade. This in spite of threatening weather beforehand as well
as automotive setbacks which derailed plans to include a rolling
section of cellos and basses.
Dressed in
Highlander colors and marching to the tune of El Capitan, close
to thirty string musicians filed down the streets of McLean to
the entrance of the school's football field. No one can question
that the McLean High School Orchestra has school spirit!
