The McLean High School Orchestra (MHSO) program seeks to provide a stimulating orchestral experience for its student musicians. We provide an environment for students to explore music as a life skill, either as a vocation or as an avocation. Serious students of music also are offered the opportunity and challenge of participating in chamber music. We hope that upon graduation from MHS, all of our musicians take with them a lifelong commitment   and desire to continue in some way with their music.

Chamber Soloists Summer Retreat to Bear Mountain, VA

For the third year in a row, the McLean High School Chamber Soloists will be attending a four-day summertime musical retreat in the mountains of Highland County, Virginia at Bear Mountain Farm & Wilderness Retreat. The purpose of the August 14-17 trip is to enable the students to learn to bond as a cohesive group of musicians, experience a Masterclass given by the the Garth Newel Quartet, perform their first concert together at the Highland Center, Highland County, VA and... to have FUN !
